Parents Involvement and Participation (PIP) Forum

What is Parents Involvement and Participation?

We are a forum for the views of parents and carers of disabled children and those with special needs. We are made up of parents and carers who know on a practical daily basis just how challenging caring for a child with special educational needs and disability is.

We also:

  • represent your views on Forums and as part of consultation processes to shape local services
  • hold an annual conference to give feedback and report on what has been achieved the previous year
  • organise local Stay and Play events
  • offer assistance in finding the right sources of financial help and how to apply.

We are currently trying to increase the numbers of parent representatives sitting on groups so that a wide cross-section of views are heard. If you are interested in working with statutory agencies to improve services for our children and young adults, please get in touch.

Through our attendance at these and other meetings, we aim to represent your interests. Please do not hesitate to get in touch, and tell us how services are working for you and your family.

Coffee Morning

Coffee mornings are held across North Lincolnshire on a regular basis.  This is an opportunity for you to come along and talk to us and  other parents and carers living with children and young people with additional needs.

The coffee mornings are informal and relaxing. We have lots of information that we can share with you including information about activities and groups you can attend.

Download the coffee morning flyer for a list of all the dates and locations for 2018/19.
