This handbook is intended for all providers of early years, particularly those within the private, voluntary and independent sector, and as a reference document for practitioners within the maintained sector including all those who support and work within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Following the announcement about schools and early years providers closing on Friday 21 March until further notice for all children (with the exception of children of ‘key workers’ or ‘vulnerable children’) we have collated some ideas and suggestions for things that you can do at home with babies and children to support their learning and development.
